Destiny Children's Home was founded in 2011 by Sandra Chikan and her husband, who works for the Nigerian government. The couple is committed to using their resources to serve orphans from the community. Many of the children in this particular home have been orphaned by religious persecution. On average, Destiny is home to about 40 children, ranging in age from 3-18. The children either attend school on-site with teachers on the property or at a local school off-site. The children at this home enjoy visiting a local library, being outside, doing crafts, and playing soccer. Sponsorship funds help provide balanced meals for the children, pay for school fees, assist with housing costs, and provide medical care.
