Douglas Children's Home opened in 1967 when Wyman Pylant Sr. and his wife moved to Monterrey from Texas to open an orphanage and a Bible college. Back2Back first started working with this home in 1997 and is now the primary source of their support. Douglas Children's Home was the first home Back2Back partnered with and is located in close proximity to the Back2Back campus. It is also the largest home Back2Back partners with. Children from this home attend one of six schools: a kindergarten, two elementary schools, two junior high schools, and a special education school. The children spend their free time playing soccer, reading, listening to music, playing instruments, and swimming. Back2Back started a church at Casa Hogar Douglas on a hill overlooking the grounds. The church is made up of children from the home as well as some families from the community. Since Sunday is visiting day, the church serves as a gathering spot, providing the children with an opportunity to invite any existing family members to attend with them. Back2Back takes the children on a field trip once a month, usually to a local park or attraction.
