Strong Families Canaan

Back2Back's Strong Families Program, which started in Cancún, is designed to connect families to resources within their communities and empower them to see their own potential. The community of Canaan, located northeast of the capital city of Port-au-Prince, grew from an emergency tent city following the 2010 earthquake, to now become the permanent home to an estimated 300,000 people. The Strong Families program in Haiti offers academic tutoring, Bible classes, parenting classes and family activities to support the holistic needs of the children and families served. Staff seek to strengthen families to pursue self-sustainability, positively impact the community of Canaan, and share the hope of Jesus.
