# Nigeria Hope Program

In April 2015, Back2Back Nigeria opened the first Hope Program house. Back2Back's Hope Program offers orphans and vulnerable children an opportunity to pursue their educational goals and break the cycle of poverty. Living in a family-style setting, students are mentored, supported through scholarships and tutoring, and encouraged to pursue their dreams. Finding a local couple to serve as Hope Program house parents for nine Nigerian high-school boys proved to be a challenge, but, when Nehemiah and Deborah completed their first interview, it was obvious they were uniquely gifted for the task. Nehemiah, a trained pastor, has spent seven years discipling students. God has been preparing Nehemiah and Deborah's hearts for some time. Years ago, God gave Deborah a vision that he would care for many children and only a few of them would be biological. For Deborah, serving in the Hope Program is the fulfillment of that vision. Now there are 3 Nigeria Hope Program houses. The Agape House (boys), Calvary House (boys), and the Bethany House (girls). Each Hope Program student may have up to 3 sponsors.
